Introduction

We provide Public Address (PA) Systems and Sound Reinforcement for Indoor and Outdoor Events throughout the Midlands, London and Southern England.

Perhaps you are looking for a music & announcements system for your Company Conference, Store Promotion, School Fete, Village Fair, Family Fun Day or Fireworks Display Night - whatever and wherever your event - we have the right experience and equipment to tailor a sound solution to fit your requirements.

If you require a vocal public address system with cabled "top table" mics and roving cordless radio microphones for audience questions at a Public Meeting or Gathering, we can help. We can record your meeting onto CD or MD, if you require this. We can provide a Telephone Hybrid (Telephone Balance Unit) to connect external callers/listeners to your meeting.

Anything from a compact system for a small conference to sound coverage of large outdoor areas, we'll work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly. As we don't "dry hire" our equipment, all our PA systems come with a technician to set up, operate and pack away the equipment.

d&b Audiotechnik - the ultimate in high end PA systems

Following extensive listening tests and research, A1 Discos Ltd. are proud to announce the addition of a d&b Audiotechnik Q-Series speaker system to our inventory.

d&b Audiotechnik are highly respected throughout the professional audio industry, with their speaker systems being seen and heard at many high profile corporate events, concerts and festivals.

Each Q7 cabinet has a maximum SPL of 138db with a dispertion of 75º h x 40º v. Each Q-SUB has a maximum SPL of 133db. Two stacks of Q series (one left, one right) are capable of producing incredible volume and clarity, suitable for venues holding up to 500 people.

JBL Outdoor PA System for Announcements or Speeches

For outdoor public address systems where the brief is to provide crystal clear vocal reproduction for announcements or speeches, with good quality background music, our trusty JBL M-Series never fail to deliver.

We dislike conventional PA horns that are so often seen & heard at outdoor events, because they are prone to howling feedback and music sounds painfully tinny through them. That's why we don't use horns and have opted for the JBL 12" boxes.

We have eight JBL boxes and hundreds of metres of cable, so we can position these singly or clustered (typically in pairs) across or around the perimieter of your site, to ensure maximum and even sound dispertion for ultimate clarity at your event.

Void Acoustics PA System for Live Music and DJ Sound Reinforcement

If you are looking for serious sound reinforcement, either for live music or a large disco / club night, Void Stasys is the perfect solution, for indoor and outdoor events alike.

Four touring-standard twin 18" Stasys 8 horn-loaded subs and four Stasys 3 MkII horn-loaded mid-highs make up the full 11kw package. Each Stasys 3 cabinet has a maximum SPL of 135db with a dispertion of 45º h x 35º v. Each Stasys 8 cabinet has a maximum SPL of 139db. Amplification by Void and Crown Macrotech. For smaller events, we can provide "half" of the above system.

Microphones & Sound Sources

We have a good range of professional vocal and instrument microphones by AKG and Shure as well as wireless systems by Shure and Sennheiser.

We can provide a 32-channel Midas Venice with four monitor mixes, complemented by various industry standard outboard (BSS, dbx, Drawmer, Klark Teknik, Yamaha, etc.) as required by your Band Engineer.

We can also provide twin Denon CD players, Technics 1210s and DJ mixers if required. Tascam MD and CD recording / playback equipment is also available.
