The Children's Party Planner Pack

The Children's Party Planner Pack helps you decide how you would like the party to run before the day. You can sit down with the birthday child and choose favourite songs, games and the important moments you want included.

The planner can be used to build a simple party timetable covering the disco, games, food and drinks, the birthday cake and Happy Birthday. This helps JMF Disco provide the party you want rather than using exactly the same format for every child.

Can My Child Choose the Music?

Yes. The Children's Party Planner Pack includes space for music requests, so the birthday child can choose favourite songs and artists before the party. Requests can also be taken on the day where appropriate.

JMF Disco uses radio edits and clean versions of songs at children's party discos. If a suitable clean version of a requested song is not available, it will not be played.

The music can also be adapted to suit a party theme. Tell JMF Disco about the theme and any particular songs you would like included when completing the Party Planner.

Party Games and Activities

You can choose from games supplied with the Party Planner or ask JMF Disco to run favourite games of your own. Younger children often enjoy a greater mix of games and music, while older children may prefer more time dancing.

How Many Children Can I Have at a Children's Disco?

The main practical limit is usually the venue and the type of games you want to run. A class-sized group is normally straightforward, while larger groups may need games and activities chosen carefully so children are not waiting too long for their turn.

If you are expecting a particularly large number of children, include the approximate number when you enquire so the entertainment can be planned appropriately.

How Long Should a Children's Party Disco Be?

JMF Disco usually recommends around two hours for a children's party disco. This provides time for music, dancing, games, food and the birthday cake without making the party unnecessarily long.

If you are inviting a larger number of guests, you may want to allow additional time for serving and eating the food.

Friday and Saturday afternoon children's parties normally need to finish by around 4.00pm where an evening booking follows, although timings are flexible subject to other bookings. Sunday afternoons can provide more flexibility.

How Much Does a Children's Disco Cost?

The cost varies according to the details of the party. Factors include:

• Date and time – a weekday afternoon can be priced differently from a Saturday evening.
• Venue and access – some venues are easier to load into and set up in than others.
• Length of the party – for example, a three-hour party will cost more than a two-hour party.
• Additional options – any extras requested can affect the final quotation.

Optional Extras

A bubble machine may be available for an additional fee, subject to the venue allowing its use. Always check the venue's rules before requesting bubbles or other effects.

Karaoke may also be available as an option for suitable children's parties, allowing children and parents to join in.

Sound, Lighting and Individual Requirements

JMF Disco does not need to play children's parties at very loud levels. If a child attending is sensitive to loud music, let JMF Disco know when planning the party so the volume can be adjusted appropriately.

JMF Disco does not use strobe lighting at children's discos. Standard disco lighting can include moving and changing coloured light effects. If a guest has a particular sensitivity to lighting effects, tell JMF Disco when making the enquiry so suitable alternative lighting can be discussed.

School Discos, Teen Parties and Other Celebrations
