Only one new entry in the Top 10 this week but I still think Yolanda Be Cool and Eliza Doolittle are my personal favourite tracks - although the Swedish House Mafia at Nr 12 have been the most requested at recent events.
Roll Deep go straight in at nr 1 with Green Light - a poppy/grime tune with a clubby beat that will get people dancing - not as good as their previous release Good Times - come on sing a long now....

It's been a very busy August this year - not only with weddings - but also landmark birthday celebrations and children's parties. I sat down and had a think about what I enjoy about being a DJ and it is without doubt a love of all types of music and the variety of music that I get to play that gives me the most pleasure (it's certainly not the lugging of all the equipment around and quick room turn arounds I like!!). Over the past week I performed at three weddings, a 10th birthday party, 18th birthday and a 25th Wedding Anniversary and have played everything from Sponge Bob Square Pants to Vega 4.
Performing
at a wide vareity of events keeps me 'fresh' and prepared for many eventualities
(notice how I said 'many eventualities' - I'm too experianced to think
I know everything!) - performing at children's parties helps me entertain
the 'knee sliders' at weddings etc. Having a DJ with years of experiance
to perform at your function will help with any 'unforseen' eventualities
and will be able to integrate a wide variety of musical tastes to ensure
your event is as special as you want it to be - why take a risk on anything
